Summer Fun

Well, it's officially summer and we are still having rain like it's the middle of spring. In the few sunny (or at least not pouring down rain) days that we've had, we have killed the entire back yard, created and planted a vegetable garden, put in retaining rock walls and put down new grass seed. So now we just have to wait for the grass to grow!

Evan and his friends have been in the pool a few times, and Lauren once. She is trying to be so independent and wants to do everything herself. She wants to do everything she sees her brother do too! I do believe he's her favorite person!

Better Late Than Never!!!

Okay, so now I'm posting pictures from...you guessed it...EASTER! We have been a tad busy with soccer games, birthdays and such...and I have been a complete slacker on getting pictures posted. But...here they are. Evan crossed over again in cub scouts, and is now a Bear. He earned 7 or 8 belt loops and several patches and pins for his accomplishments.

Evan got a rock excavation kit in his Easter basket and had fun digging out all of the cool rocks...

Okay, so I brought Lauren's kitchen into the kitchen so that she could hang out with us while she plays. Evan was pretending to be on her kitchen phone and then Lauren opened the oven...

And then...from the oven straight into the beer box...

This is "puppy". Yes, his name is Puppy. he was sent from Aunt Erin in N.C. for Valentines Day, and he hasn't left Lauren's side since. He goes everywhere she goes.

Lauren likes to honk noses...even her own!

Bear is growing and will be 5 months on April 9.

Lauren always wants to play Wii with Evan. So, she went and got her musical drawing tablet and stood on it while holding a controller. Problem solved!
