The Wind and the New Place

Today, Lauren and I went to a new place to take some pictures. It was soooo windy and she had a blast! It was a beautiful morning, until I heard the tornado sirens later! We had been back for about 40 minutes when they went off. A tornado never came. It was our lucky day!

Taking It Easy

Soccer is over for the fall and we have been taking it easy. We all got to sleep in this Saturday and it was nice. Lauren is so flexible and just goes with the flow of each day. Evan is doing well in school and has not missed a single word on any of his spelling tests yet! The second grade is having a vocabulary parade this Friday. Each student was assigned a word and has to create a "costume" for it. Evan's word is "suburb". We have been busy drawing a street with houses and a park. I will post pictures of it after it's finished.

Evan's friend Keira was over today and I got some pictures of her, Evan and Lauren. It was a lot of fun!

This is a shot I took while hiking with Evan during our 100 degree camping trip over the summer. It was so hot and muggy that weekend. Anyway, I love this picture and had to post it.

Mount Saint John

It was such a BEAUTIFUL day! The kids and I went to Mount Sain John. It is so beautiful there. They have a labyrinth through a field of tall wild flowers. My intention was only to go for a little while, but we ended up going on a two-hour hike! We all had fun together!

On Saturday, the kids were hanging out at our house and said they were bored. So...of course I asked them if they would like to go take some pictures. They said yes, even Evan! After the sun started to go down, we went to get a treat that won't be around for much longer this season...Rita's!

Happy Birthday to Cousin Randy

Randy is three! All the kids had fun at the party and of course he got a lot of cool gifts! His cake looked so neat that he didn't like it when his dad cut into it...but it sure did taste good!
