Who's that on the pitcher's mound??
No time for a real post...just photos!! Evan had his first opportunity to pitch during last night's game. He pitched to four batters and struck out three of them!

Bye Bye, night-nights
Lauren finally let go of her pacifiers last Friday, January 13th. We talked to her all week about it, and told her Friday would be the day. So when Friday evening came, right before bedtime, she voluntarily put her night-nights in the trash. She said good-bye to them and waved as she closed the lid on the trash can. She never cried, though Brian and I both could tell she wanted to. She went to bed that night and never made a peep.
She still talks about them when she is going down for a nap or to bed for the night. She will ask, "I frow my night-nights in the trash?," as if she wants confirmation that they are really gone. So we just tell her that yes, she did throw them in the trash, and then we let her know what a big girl she is. She then will tell me that she loves her night-nights. She treated them like little people. Sometimes she pretended that the night-nights were talking to each other. I know it is hard for her not to have them, but she is truly being such a big girl about it.
Since Lauren was only allowed to have her night-nights when she went night-night, I had absolutely zero photos of her with them. Because time flies so quickly, I know that the night-nights will soon be forgotten by Lauren and the rest of us. So, on Friday afternoon I gave her her three favorite night-nights and let her play with them, outside of bed, for about an hour-and-a-half while I got some photos of her with them. She was so excited and had sooo much fun.

Yummy snacks and mild weather
A house guest who visited with us on Christmas evening, left with us a very yummy snack...chocolate covered pretzels with candy & sprinkles stuck to them. Big hit with the kids! Thanks Doug! Lauren was enjoying one while on her way outside to play with her dad and Evan.

Merry Christmas!
We had such a wonderful Christmas! It is so much fun to watch the kids anticipate it's arrival and then finally get the opportunity to open their gifts. We had two full days of visiting family, eating yummy food and watching the kids have a great time.
We started our holiday by going to Nana's house on the morning of Christmas Eve. While everyone was getting into the car, I was helping Lauren put on her coat. Then I had to take her picture.
After Nana's house, it was off to Mammaw's for more food, more gifts and more fun! On Christmas morning, we opened gifts at home and then went to grandma's house. Again, there was great food, more gifts and of course...more fun! The cousins from Texas are in town!
We topped Christmas day off with a visit from Aunt Erin and her friend Doug, granddad, Nana, Uncle Tim and Aunt Linda.

Another windy day
Yesterday was windy but beautiful, so I took Lauren for more pictures. This time I had to pay her.
With smarties and M&M's.
More photos coming as I get them processed. Keep checking!

Oh...my...gosh...
Today was my lucky day...Evan went with me to take some pictures. The fall colors are just beautiful this weekend and I didn't want to miss the opportunity on this nice day to take some pictures! The shots of Evan with attitude on his face are very real, and in no way faked at all...you see, I said he went with me...I never said he was happy about it.
But that's okay, cause I'll take what I can get!
